Why anyone whining about adding easy mode to Sekiro played Quake on Pc with cheats

“But the director said that the game is supposed to be a challenge” Everyone knows an artists vision for media is always important and video games are an amazing medium for art to be shown and enjoyed. Still this argument … Continue reading Why anyone whining about adding easy mode to Sekiro played Quake on Pc with cheats

The Tenuous Loop aka why this heatwave is ruining standards

There are more reviews and big pieces in progress but I don’t do well in this heat so apologies in advance… Why Mario Sunshine is the greatest Mario game for playing in this never-ending heat wave Mario sunshine is just the best isn’t it? From the opening hub to the closing stages it’s full of charming quirks and just so much water and liquid that you could easily let your mind wander and feel like a cooling breeze has floated past your dried out husk of a brain. Firing back up the Wii while connecting to the TV on component … Continue reading The Tenuous Loop aka why this heatwave is ruining standards

Games to play during the #HeatwaveUK of doom

I realise some of you think I’m exaggerating and some people from other countries always scoff with, “heh you think that’s hot?” but you are all each and every one of you wrong (There are serious reasons for that but lets just say it’s too hot to bother listing those here and carry on with this classic shitposting as is) Currently the UK is now converting itself into a scene from Mad Max where the dust clouds rip through the plains and wherever the sunlight can touch is burnt to a cinder upon contact. What can you do to survive … Continue reading Games to play during the #HeatwaveUK of doom

Video games and the tale of the National Lost Sock Memorial Day

Everything has a day now; Butterscotch brownie day, Eat what you want day, National Sleepover Day… so it makes total sense to mourn the lost socks of yonder. It also got me thinking to video games that you lose, borrow, lend out and never see again. Haunted by the empty case or special pins from the limited edition that can never be classed as ‘near mint complete set’ again. In the spirit of abstract sense and lists of nonsense here are some game things you’ve probably lost to time and should take a moment for… in sock form. A Pokemon … Continue reading Video games and the tale of the National Lost Sock Memorial Day

The rant you’ll probably want to ignore about Star Trek Discovery (but the issues you’ll probably not expect)

Spoilers for season one. duh. Finished Discovery. Before this rant starts, I did enjoy it enough to probably watch more of it. Hold your breath…. It’s over-hyped trash. It relied too heavily on a weak story, flimsy script and overkill CGI that they can’t decide what it did. Some really great characters constantly wasted. Oh and no the swearing was like the first Guardians of the Galaxy, call me a prude all you like (and I’d laugh as I swear fucking constantly) but just throwing it into the episode where it sat was clearly due to lazy writing to get … Continue reading The rant you’ll probably want to ignore about Star Trek Discovery (but the issues you’ll probably not expect)
