Who doesn’t love pets? At one time or another I’ve had dogs, a cat, fish, hamsters and now our house has two lovely rabbits (or little buggers depending on what kind of mood they’re in). It’s another ‘national’ day that only seems to exist to promote something cheesy but hey why not go with the flow and celebrate having pets! What better way to do that then to look at some of the best pets in video games? Dogmeat – Fallout (all of them) Dogmeat is such a charming dog in all the Fallout games. If he’s not an important … Continue reading Games to play on National Pet Day
2014 seems a lifetime ago. Well 4 years to be exact, still we know how games are hard to keep track of. Occasionally a big hitter will slip by you if not for budget or time constraints. Wolfenstein has always been on “the list” and the sequel is high on it but other releases got in the way and one thing lead to another and I’m running out of excuses damn it. Finally I’ve made time to go kill nazis! I’ve needed this more than I realised. A well crafted tightly made, Bond/Indiana style brain-off kill Nazi first person shooter. … Continue reading Wolfenstein: The New Order – PS4
Disclaimer – A review for Metal Gear Survive is in the works but it’s such hard going when you previously enjoyed Metal Gear Solid titles that I thought I’d pop a few thoughts out there for you to read. If your curious why I’m taking this stance check out my Beta experience opinion. Warioware Quick thinking, fast reactions and able to analyse and react to any situation, that’s what you need in Metal Gear but it’s also the same for WarioWare. There’s a new Wario Ware game in the works! We’re all hopeful it’s better than Mario Party: The Top … Continue reading Games to play instead of reviewing Metal Gear Survive
It’s that time of year again! Time to dig out old consoles, classic previous games and hope to find those little gems that you just didn’t originally get around to. With the Vita still selling for around £80-90 second hand and the PlayStationTv for £50 (which can play most Vita titles) it’s still a great time to get into the system! I’m sure you’ll spot a few titles missing from this list but these are just ones I can personally wholeheartedly recommend from experience. Yes I also know the originally exclusive Gravity Rush is missing but I’d recommend you play the … Continue reading A list of PSVita games still worth playing because yes it’s that time of year.
So after playing the Dragon ball FighterZ beta you’re left needing more? It’s slightly better than Dissidia Final Fantasy NT (as you can see here) but you’ve no access to play it, what now? How do you wait until Friday 26th January? I’ve personally watched all 291 episodes of DragonballZ (not all the films mind but some of them) dubbed. I’ve watched a few episodes subbed and a few GT but that’s a lot of KAMEHAMAHA. I’ve also played the games since the obscure japanese snes fighters, gba rpgs, the truely terrible PS1/Saturn games, all of the Budokai Gamecube and PS2 … Continue reading How to deal with Dragonball FighterZ cravings
So the SNES mini classic has become a darling for me. Seems a few of you managed to get one for Christmas to and found the joy the little box can bring. It’s a little something that you can fire up for a few mins of retro gaming that’s just absolutely brilliant. The NES classic is a thing of course, as is the Spectrums Vega and with rumours of a Gameboy classic on its way here’s some others that need making. Now Great Pocket Colours – “Still as good as a Gameboy Color” A New Neo Geo Pocket Color for … Continue reading Classic mini remakes that would be amazing
018 is going to be very busy at the start of the year! So many games are getting an early release it’s going to be hard to keep up. Still how could 2018 be any worse than 2017? Don’t worry though, ElderlyGoose as always has you covered and here’s my list (who doesn’t love lists?) for my most looking forward to games for 2018! Looking forward to…. 26th Jan – Dragon Ball FighterZ – PS4 KAAAAMMEEEEEHHAAAAMMMEEEEEHAAAAAAAA! Who isn’t looking forward to this?! It’s been a shocker even for Bandai Namco who pushed back the release date of this just to … Continue reading Looking forward to 2018!
Ho Ho Ho! Who’s ready for a mince pie and some Christmas cheer? Nobody? Ok well here’s some games to help you feel more jolly! Christmas Nights into Dreams – Sega Saturn Fairly obvious one this. It’s Nights but free!…Well when it was released it was free. I remember Dixons throwing out free copies to everyone and people just not bothering as it was the Saturn (fools!). Essentially a demo for the main game but impressively dressed in Christmas drab. Still the original is a brilliant game and this deserves a go and will fill you with Christmas cheer! James … Continue reading Games to play before Christmas
A year of installs, patches, loots and possibly the most £ you can spend on any games. Everyone loves a list, we all write them out and look over them safe in the knowledge that there are things there in … Continue reading Bottom 5, Top 10 and lots of games! 2017 edition
A new Star Wars PS4 is nice and all but it’s so by the numbers… well here’s some concepts that aren’t. Splatoon2 – Switch Obviously serious one this. The official bundle just had a different pro controller and brightly coloured joycons . What it needed was Nickelodeon level plastic squidgyness all over it. Both joy cons extended out in strange and impractical ways and the doc a pink, green mess of splatted ink. You ‘click’ the left joycon on for “your a kid now” and the right joycon for “your a squid now”. Doom – Xbox one S Fully embracing … Continue reading Limited edition bundles that should exist
